A lovely photo of Frank Kingston, from Bedford, who served with the Bedfordshire Yeomanry in the First World War and then joined the RAF, serving in Iraq in the early 1920s and earning himself a Meritorious Service Medal. He didn't serve abroad in the Great War, so no WW1 medals.
Item 2 below:
A group photo showing William Jordan, Squadron Quartermaster Sergeant (middle row far left). William earned a Territorial Force Efficiency Medal and a silver war badge only, so again no WW1 medals. He was a member of the famous Jordan family of the Mill at Biggleswade.
